Testing Process:

Once students have met the entrance requirements, they are invited to take the Oxford Academy Entrance Exam.

The exam is given on a Saturday, and the entire testing process takes approximately four hours.

The exam consists of three sections: language arts, mathematics, and a written essay. Content is taken from the California Standards for the appropriate grade levels. For more information on California Standards, please visit the following site: http://www.cde.ca.gov/be/st/ss/index.asp.

Selection Process:

Based upon the Oxford Academy Entrance Exam results, 25 students are selected in rank order from each of the eight junior high attendance areas in the Anaheim Union High School District. Therefore, there are 200 openings for seventh grade.

Students entering the eighth and ninth grades are also selected in rank order, based on exam scores, from each of the eight junior high attendance areas in the Anaheim Union High School District. A limited number of spaces are available each year as Oxford Academy aims to maintain an enrollment of 200 students in each of the seventh, eighth and ninth grades. The number of new eighth and ninth graders fluctuates yearly and is based upon current enrollment for each grade level. The number of available spots will not be determined until after the end of the school year, and students will be notified as indicated below.

Following the testing and selection process, parents will be notified by mail. Students not selected are placed on a waiting list and will be notified by phone if a space becomes available and their child is next on the list. Please do not contact Oxford Academy.  Students will not be admitted once the school year has begun.

Please note that Oxford Academy does not test or enroll students who have progressed beyond the ninth grade.
